clothes

Many of my projects are single garments made for classes to present evidence of effective methods of production. However, as I progress in my academic career, and projects begin to become more dynamic, I've been able to delve deeper into the design aspect of my classes. As of now, most of my learnings revolve around the manner in which we create clothing, however, I have also spent much of my time learning ways of pattern making, fashion design, and illustration both on paper and digitally, and studying how to style, tailor, and produce.

These images depict the manner(s) in which I have been trained to go about the design process. These include flat pattern making, draping, digital and 3D rendering via OptiTex or Adobe software, as well as mood, textile, concept, color, and lineup boards, all of which are integral parts of thoroughly designing a garment.

Much of my interest in fashion revolves around the concept of self expression, and story telling by way of personal style. In my ideal world, I would be designing for like minded individuals who are seeking identity in their wardrobe. I tell stories of the wearer in the colors, textures, and silhouettes that set themselves apart from others.
